How To Get More Hours In Your Day
Everybody wants more time in the day. There are ways that you can make your life more efficient to give yourself a little extra time to spend on the things that matter to you! That is one of the main reasons why I love organizing for my clients, I love to hear that they know exactly where to find what they need when they need it and aren’t wasting precious minutes searching their homes.
Benjamin Franklin said “every minute spent in organizing, is an hour earned”
This is a motto I live by. If you ever have been late to work because you couldn’t find your *insert keys, wallet, sunglasses, phone here* then you know how frustrating it can be to feel you don’t have control over your things or your time.
Creating a place for every item may sound overwhelming to do, but are you feeling overwhelmed now? If you answered yes, then it is time to make a decision: 1. stay the same and stay overwhelmed or 2. give organizing a try and see if your life improves. You really have nothing to lose by going with the 2nd option.
Getting started is the second hardest part, keeping the momentum is THE HARDEST part. So when you start your organizing process remember your end goal, don’t give up! You deserve an organized home. By following 4 simple steps you can create systems that will work for you and your family.
Sort- put every single item into a category with other like items
Declutter- this is the most important step! Do not skip it. Having less things is less to maintain, less to put away which means more hours in your day.
Organize- Buy organizing products only after measuring a space. Make sure you will have enough room for the items you want to store there. Try to purchase products that will not waste any precious space.
Repeat-You have done one area of your house, now take on the rest!
