Desk Drawer Doom

Drawers in general can be tricky to keep organized, they are out of sight, so they tend to get cluttered quickly. Here are some helpful tips to get those drawers in order.

Step One: Take everything out. Throw away those little bits of random plastic buried deep in the back. Test each pen on paper and throw away dried up ones. Be honest with yourself, how many pairs of scissors does one human/family really need? Toss the rest.

Step Two: Sort each object by type. Different categories could include: writing utensils, tape, post-its, thumb drives, scissors and paper clips, staples.

Step Three: Lining the drawers. This part is optional but can prolong the life of your desk and helps with clean up.

Step Four: Compartmentalize with whatever system of your choosing. However, measure the drawer to ensure the best use of the space, this way you won’t have extra inches of wasted space.
