Organizing Your Linen Closet
Take everything out.
Sort. Get rid of all of those ratty towels that you have been holding on to. Be ruthless, ask yourself, how many extra sheet sets, towels, face-cloths, etc, do I realistically need?
3. Now that you know what you are keeping you can decide what product you want to store items. Bins and baskets are my favorites for linens and lazy-susans are a great option for cleaning supplies.
4. Lay out the product in the closet to give you an idea of the esthetics as well as functionality of where your items will go. Think outside the box, can you adjust the shelving in your closet to maximize space? If you can, you might want to consider it. For example you could roll towels, fold them or place them in bins.
5. Create zones, don’t just haphazardly put these nicely organized items on any old shelf. Think about ease of access and who might have access to the closet, if you have little ones higher shelves for cleaning supplies and other chemicals will be the best option.
6. Lastly put everything away and add the final details. Labeling is a wonderful finishing touch!
