The Declutter Bug
I have the declutter bug! It is catchy too, so watch out! Ok, I am just kidding, but really as crazy as it sounds I do have a few comparisons to a virus, hear me out! So nobody wants to catch a literal sickness and a lot of people avoid decluttering their house like it is a plague. Why is that? Well the thought of doing so is overwhelming for many people. Maybe it is because they have so much they don’t know where to start. Or perhaps the items that need to be decluttered are sentimental. There are so many reasons why people are afraid to begin the decluttering process.
So why bother? Well decluttering a space does more for your mindset than you might think. Studies show that there is a direct correlation to cluttered spaces and our emotions. People who live in cluttered homes tend to feel more anxious, stressed and lose their ability to focus. Have no fear though, getting started is the hardest part, for help with motivation just try to imagine how you will feel once your home is decluttered.
Once you start, you wont be able to stop! I told you, bugs are catchy… ok that’s my last analogy I promise.
